While being a beginner level trick, windmill is catchy and looks awesome. Beginner students sometimes struggle to learn it as poi balls flying so close to the face is not the most comfortable feeling.
Disclaimer: there's no right or wrong way to perform the tricks! Each instructor teaches and does them slightly differently!
In case of the windmill, we teach it in a way, that your hands are moving above the head, not near the ears, and elbows are "watching" to the sides and not forward.
